I am Ayman Ahmed, Emergency Medicine Consultant at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust (TRFT), UK, where has been a substantive consultant since 2018. My clinical career spans more than two decades across the UK, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt, combining extensive front-line emergency practice with leadership, research, and advanced ultrasound instruction.

I am internationally certified, holding FRCEM, MRCEM, MRCGP(Int), and a Master’s degree in Emergency Medicine. I am CESR-qualified Emergency Medicine specialist and currently I am RCEM examiner for both MRCEM and FRCEM examinations.

I have a strong academic interest in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), I had completed both level 1 and advanced ultrasound training and has delivered structured ultrasound education to trainees at multiple institutions. My Clinical Topic Review for FRCEM focused on the accuracy of ultrasound in diagnosing pediatric distal forearm fractures—research later accepted by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. I had authored systematic reviews and multiple publications in pediatric fracture ultrasonography and regularly teaches advanced emergency ultrasound techniques, including RUSH protocols, nerve blocks, and procedural POCUS.

I leads CESR training, supervises junior doctors, and previously served as Major Trauma Lead and ENP teaching lead. I had developed clinical guidelines, contributed to patient-safety initiatives, and presented at national and international conferences, earning awards for my research and teaching.

I am ATLS instructor and faculty member in advanced POCU training. My professional mission is to advance high-quality emergency care through evidence-based POCUS practice, trainee mentorship, and continuous clinical excellence.
